Know what you’re joining.
A practical overview of the current alpha and your game data.
Two places, two purposes.
This website introduces the game and provides public guides. The game itself runs at play.riseofthealien.com, separately from the developer’s PC testing instance.
Your game account.
The game stores your private sign-in email, public display name, password hash, colony progress and multiplayer activity. An internal account identifier and legacy account names are retained to preserve existing accounts. If you choose to upload an avatar or set a country flag, those profile details can appear to other players. Chat messages, guild membership and world activity are visible according to the relevant game feature.
Cookies & device storage.
The game uses a session cookie for sign-in and device storage for preferences, installation and interface state. This official site does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Its pages and images are served directly. Normal server access logs can include technical request information such as IP address and browser.
Optional notifications.
Notifications require your permission and can be configured in the game. Browser push services may handle delivery. You can revoke notification permission from your browser or device settings.
Alpha status.
Features, balance, art and progress may change while the game is in alpha. Bugs or a necessary reset may affect accounts or colonies. Automated email verification and password recovery are not available yet.
Questions about your account.
During the alpha, contact the person who invited you to the test for account or data requests. Do not send your password or post your recovery email in public chat.
